Lessons To Learn: "Choices" series Book 1
By Debbie Pinkham

Series Description:

Cecily is your typical, 17 year old teen, rebellious, frustrated, wanting to be accepted, and fighting for independence.  One big problem: she's Amish...and loves the English world.

Set to wed a man she doesn't love, who is a bishop in their church, not seeing eye-to-eye with her parents, and risking shunning from her community, she goes halfway across the country to escape.  Can a naive, very small town girl even deal with a place bigger than hers?

Then, when faced with an unexpected crisis, will she make the right choice based on her heritage or on her newfound lifestyle?

Meanwhile, at her home, in Indiana Amish country, another crisis she knows nothing about, is being fought.

This series is dedicated to the Amish.  I admire them a great deal and everything they stand for and believe in.

This series is also dedicated to my friend of over 20 years, Diana, who used to be Amish in Clarksville, Ohio.  She was an Englisher who fell in love with an Amish man and stayed married for 13 years before leaving to go back to the English world.  She's now happily married to Joe, an Englisher.  They live in Missouri, about 2 miles from where I used to live.

I also dedicate this series to Carl Cunningham, (April 13, 1965-Feb. 17, 2019) my biggest supporter and best friend.  I will always love you forever.  Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, but I can still feel you with me and know you are around me when I need you and want to talk.  We still have our connection, it's just in a different way now.  Rest in peace and I'll see you when I get to Heaven.  Kiss our furry babies for me.  I love you.
