On November 26, 2013 your mom and I were married. Our union was quite poetic in its unsurpassed beauty. Part of my reason involves the previously mentioned song, “Fade into You” by Mazzy Star. For a number of years both your mom and I shared the same dream of having that tune as the first dance at our wedding. The stars have aligned and somehow we found each other.

What is it about this song that had an impact on us? I’m incapable of fully articulating. Part of the poetic essence of the lyrics comes from the vagueness and abstractness of them. What I personally find appealing is the concept of fading into another person.
