i misread the line as
"the revolution arrives dressed as kittens"
it was written "kindness"
but that works too, doesn't it?
both invite a smile to curl
distracting us from gravity
uniting us in adversity
how difficult it is to remain
downtrodden while kittens
romp and play carelessly
and people lift each other up
lending others strength
and so, when this time passes
we will remember kindness
woven through our lives
on the whiskers of kittens
