In and of itself, Ant-Man And The Wasp is a great movie, featuring excellent women characters. Viewed in isolation, it is, perhaps, one of the most feminist instalments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, 10 years and 20 films in to the juggernaut comic-book adaptation franchise, this sequel brings with it a vast amount of baggage, from which it is difficult for many audiences to separate. This creates a fascinating conundrum around the movie, which unfortunately has the potential to divide the opinions of fans and newcomers alike.
