Fiona’s body and stores it all in small, plastic tubs. The exception is her head, which he keeps in the fridge, and which soon starts asking him for a fridge-friend. From this point on, the threads of comparison between reality and Jerry’s delusions come thick and fast. Despite the dismemberment, Jerry’s apartment remains clean and tidy – except when he briefly goes back on his medication and his delusions cease temporarily. Then, we see that his apartment is actually a horror show of blood-soaked lampshades, hoarded pizza boxes, pet faeces, and boxed body parts. Unable to live with that reality, Jerry chooses to destroy his medication - because it is easier to avoid taking responsibility for his actions.
