becomes something of a running joke that practically every time she talks to a man she declares that she has a boyfriend, and it’s “super serious”. This then pays off into the reveal that her boyfriend is actually Batman (Will Arnett). This Batman is a reprehensible kind of fellow, however – completely self-involved and incapable of anything resembling a mature, committed relationship. He doesn’t even know Wyldstyle’s real name (it’s Lucy). Now, this is all very humorous, and there are actually some really good jokes to be had. For example, in the midst of an action sequence, while they are under siege, Wyldstyle reminds Batman that he needs to ‘be there’ for her more, and Batman is seen to release an extended, lengthy, guttural sigh as his head rotates completely in frustration....
