Once Sam realized that Captain Mackey wouldn’t help him, he sent out a distress call. At least he thought he did. It was hard to be sure what exactly he was sending out when he had to manipulate his armband while both hands were behind his back.
Something must have made it through because when they got to the brig, a dark-skinned man in a conservative suit blocked their way.
“Ahmed!” Captain Mackey said. “What are you doing here?”
“Do you have any idea how hard you’re making it for me to be your campaign manager?” The suited man asked.
Captain Mackey cringed. “I know it doesn’t look good right—”
“Good? Mackey, the feed this kid just sent out is enough to bury you!”
