Tori wished she knew more about first aid. The blood had stopped seeping into Gabe’s handkerchief—she thought—but he still looked woozy. She thought he could probably use some liquid, maybe even some food.
Tori thought people had started to load the shuttle, but she wasn’t sure if they had any of the things they most needed yet—food, water, first aid. But it would be nice to find out. She’d love to retrieve her real clothes, too.
“Will you be OK here on your own for a bit?” Tori asked Gabe. “I want to see if any supplies have been loaded in.”
Gabe snorted, then full on laughed.
“I don’t see what’s so funny.”
“You think anybody ever loads things onto the shuttles? Beyond the first armful?”
