Gabe wasn’t used to feeling stupid.
He could almost feel Tori Jackson rolling her eyes as he begged God to get them all out of this mess.
Heat crept up his face, but he tried to focus on his prayer. He might have been stupid when he mistook her for an angel. And he’d definitely been stupid when he thought they could be within range of Hope’s web.
But praying wasn’t stupid. God was out there, whether Tori believed in him or not, and Gabe thought they could use his help right about now.
