Tori wasn’t sure how she felt about the others managing so well without her while she was out of it.

On the one hand, she was glad they’d figured out how to find their way home.

On the other (very painful) hand, Tori hated feeling useless—redundant—like what she could contribute made no difference.

While Lu took her own turn in the head, Tori stumbled toward the bridge. She’d barely made it through the door when Gabe turned, jumped out of his chair, crossed the room, and engulfed her in a hug.
