Gabe was running his third docking simulation of the morning when Lu slid into the seat next to him. “Have you looked at any of the recent news Hope sent over?”

Gabe shook his head. Frankly, he’d been afraid to after seeing the way it affected Tori.

“Just as well. If you read the nonsense they wrote about you in your obit, you might get an inflated sense of your own importance, and nobody needs that.”

“They sent my obituary?”

“Yeah. I think they’re trying to drive a wedge between us. None of the rest of our families had enough cash for a funeral ceremony separate from the big send-off Hope did for all the victims.”
