Lu didn’t think of herself as a fussy person, but this was chaos. Technically designed for six crew members, the shuttle had been cramped when only the four of them knocked about its compact spaces.
Now that Mr. Yi and the rest of them all crammed into the bridge, it was next to impossible to move without literally bumping into someone. That was bad enough, but the thing that really bothered Lu was the noise.
To Lu’s right, Tori clattered away at a keyboard while Mr. Yi muttered instructions at her in an incomprehensible mix of English and Chinese.
To her left, Gabe and Brian argued about the advantages and disadvantages of adding machine-assisted steering. Could they make something that Hope couldn’t hack? Was it worth the risk? Brian was still bumping into things...
