Chapter 5

       Lizette awoke with a start. She was freezing and a bit disoriented. She had finally slept with no interruptions. The room was completely black. Turning the lamp on, she looked for her water. Fully awake now, she walked to the window. The sky was as dark as her room had been. There were no stars or moon to be seen. She could tell that it was filled with dark clouds that were blocking out everything. She looked further up to find that even the flicker of light she had grown accustomed to was gone. The darkness gave her an eerie feeling. She decided to go back to sleep and hope for a better tomorrow. When she awoke again, the sun was bright, and all signs of the clouds were gone. Another beautiful morning and she was going...
