“How?” Benjamin asked.

It was a big question. But a simple one.

         “We just need to find a way to get from the island to the ship, and back,” I said.

There was a temporary silence. First, because everyone was wrapping their heads around the task itself, and then a pondering moment regarding the 'how'. I think the idea struck us all at the same time, but Jess spoke first.

         “A raft,” she said.
