Last week, I woke up one fine morning to find a terrible two star review of one of my novellas had been posted around the internet. It essentially said that my whole story sucked – my characters sucked, the premise sucked, the chemistry sucked, the writing sucked – basically everything sucked so much, I should quit writing now and find a day job.

And all this before my first cup of coffee.

Bad reviews happen all the time, and in the end, it really is just one person’s opinion. And while it shouldn’t matter - I do have far better things to do with my time - that doesn’t mean some stranger’s horrible opinion can’t ruin the entire day.
