I'm trying to reconcile myself to the fact that I have utterly failed to secure myself an agent. I hate failure. It's frustrating and annoying. I'm literally going to these people and asking them to please, please, please profit off of my work. Please help me make money, so I can make you money, so we can make money together.

No one seems to care though, so I'm forced to move on to the next stage and submit the manuscript directly to publishers. I really didn't want to do this. If the book gets accepted this way, the contract will not be as favorable, the advance will not be as high, and very precious marketing dollars will not be spent on me.
