I'll shamelessly wear the skin,

I was born in.

And feel no shame in being too loud,

Or quiet in a crowd.

Don't tell me to fear,

I'm not ashamed to shed tears.

You can't shame me into silence when we disagree,

No chains can hold me; I’m breaking free.

Gladly, I'll walk on my way,

The world can't lead me astray.

I'll wear the truth like a second skin,

Whole, unbroken, strong; the blazing fire within.
