Some of the good stuff in speculative fiction came in what they call the B-horror films. Greydon Clark’s Without Warning (1980) is a sci-fi/horror/thriller that serves as an example of B-movies offering a treat the audience can’t ignore.

Some reviewers have called Without Warning the original “Predator” film and with good reason. The story is about a mysterious species stalking and hunting the people who tread into the wilderness surrounding a small town. The main characters on the run from the hostile alien species are young lovers Greg (Christopher S. Nelson) and Sandy (Tarah Nutter), visiting from outside on a romantic getaway.
