Whispers. 

Teachers whisper and whisper about the present situation. Bob, internally in awe about how the teachers whisper over his work, stands supported by his mop. Bob knows this is going to be a great afternoon.  

"CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE!" AP Lee shouts out as he and the Principal enter into the Library.  The whispers cease with a sense of urgency to hear the state of emergency provided by the often unreliable leadership team.  Fear facilitates the faculties behavior deadening all the usual rude side conversations and replacing it with  nail-biting silence.
