I said my farewells to Basil, my first Book Bike customer, and stood at the top of his driving checking the map on my phone for my second drop off. I should really have planned the route back at the library but I figured that with only two drops to do on this, my very first run, it didn’t really matter.
To my utter surprise the next set of books were destined for a house directly across the street from Basil’s home. I pushed my bike across, propped it up by the blue front door and rattled the brass door-knocker in the shape of a hand. I glanced back and saw a somewhat bemused Basil standing on his door step watching the strange librarian.
