anyone else find it interesting that my grandfather called Paul by his name while my dad only ever called him “the vampire?” But he was probably right about when to do the ritual. I draw my power both from within myself and from the energy that is always available around us. Certain times, however, have inherently more power available. The full moon is one time, as are solstices and equinoxes. Why do you think many cultures perform major rituals at those times? Even non-talented practioners of magic can make things happen when that much power is flowing around them.

Sunrise and sunset are lesser times, but there’s still more energy available than at other times of day. Times of change are particularly potent, and those two happen every day.
