Half an hour after he’d been returned to his cell Pastor Willis and Peter came by. Arrin came as close to the force field as he could without frying himself and glowered at Pastor Willis. “Come to torture me with your sermons? Isn’t the satisfaction of sentencing me to death on Barumi enough for you?”

Peter came to the pastor’s defense. “Pastor Willis isn’t to blame in this. You admitted your guilt. This is all on you.”

Arrin turned his glower on Peter. “My only crimes were giving in to the addiction forced on me by my government, and killing a criminal in self-defense; for which Pastor Willis and his cronies gave me an unjust death sentence!”
