They took him to one of the ship’s ten identical windowless cells, which as far as Arrin could tell were all empty. All of the gray walls and floors were made of something similar to concrete, but a much lighter material created for spaceships, and each cell had a three-inch diameter hole in the floor at the far left corner for bodily waste. There were no sinks for washing up, though, and no furniture of any kind. Not even a simple pallet on the floor for sleeping. Since it was a mirror of the cells he’d been held in on Nephron and during his flight to New Hope, Arrin felt right at home.
