Author Bio For Stephanie Albright:

Stephanie Albright grew up in Amanda, Ohio. She moved to West Point, Mississippi in 1986 and graduated from Mississippi university for Women in 1989. She now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and four sons, where she is a reading specialist. Stephanie loves Georgetown, South Carolina and much of her work is set in and around Georgetown county.

Notes:

This is a work of fiction but there are a few real people and events referenced within the story. The Swamp Fox, Francis Marion was a real person and did try to retake Georgetown in November of 1780 and his nephew was murdered after that battle.

Mrs. Ashby was really a widow and a neighbor of Francis Marion.

The British soldiers did use the church in Georgetown as a stable.

I would like to thank Jackie Broach, Public Information Officer, Georgetown County, S.C. She tracked down some elusive facts and saved me an incredible amount of work.
