Bright and early Thursday morning, Jarrod was ringing Genny’s doorbell. He was greeted with a scowl. Apparently, she didn't miss him.  “Detective Osmont, to what do I owe the honor of your presence?”

“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  We need to talk.  Are you alone?”

“Ted just left to take the kids to the park.”

“Ted?  You move fast.”

She defended herself against his allegation.  “Ted is Hank’s best friend.  He has appointed himself my bodyguard.”

“And what a lovely body to guard.”

Genny blushed a deep shade of scarlet at his remark.  She made her way to the couch.  “Do you have a reason to be here?”
