When Lexi arrived with Damon at the place he referred to as their new home, the location was in the middle of nowhere. She had not seen any neighbors and only wooded land since she woke up. She begged him repeatedly to take her back to her son. He calmly replied each time that once the two of them were married, they would have children of their own.

Damon unloaded the wagon and gave Lexi a suitcase filled with her clothing. Somehow, he had managed to come inside of her house to her bedroom without a soul noticing. The very thought caused goosebumps to rise on her skin even though the weather was rather warm for late April.

The man was obviously insane. She began to wonder if he killed her father and husband. There had to be a way to escape before he caused her harm.
