Jesse did not have an easy time with Ethan. His son became agitated when he was ordered to no longer meet Tessa without a valid reason and ran off into the woods. He had spent an hour searching for the boy when he found him standing in front of the pond, skipping rocks across the water.

“You want to talk about it.”

Ethan would not even turn around. “Nope. I’ve got nothing to say.”

Jesse put his hand on the boy’s shoulder. “I’m sorry, son.”

Ethan stepped forward to release his grip. “I want to be alone.”

When Lexi checked Tessa’s room, she was not inside. Since Cooper had seen her with Ethan by the pond, so she took off in that direction. She ran into Jesse first.
