Narissa hummed to herself as she picked her way through the rocks, heading down the treacherous incline. She had been visiting Vera and Oliver, spending time with her friends who were still settling into their routine of living together. They were an unlikely pair, but Vera had taken to being the guardian of the alicorn foal quickly, despite being a dragon herself.

The woman smirked to herself, looking up to the blue sky. She could see Vera’s great red form circling the mountain, as if making sure that Narissa made it home alright. Just behind her was the grey form of Oliver, who was always just a wingspan behind the dragon that he’d adopted as his mother.
